Frequently asked questions

I lost my key. How do I recover it?
You cannot. The server only stores a digest of the key, and the key cannot be computed from it. If the key is already entered in the app, it is shown in the app settings. If it is gone everywhere, create a new one. Paid days cannot be moved from the old key.
How many devices can I connect?
Up to 5 per key. An extra device can be removed in the account page or in the app. Its address inside the tunnel is not handed to another device.
Someone else may have my key. What do I do?
Change the key in the account page. Devices, addresses and paid days stay; only what you sign in with changes. The old key stops working immediately, and all other sessions on the site are closed. A change is available once every 30 days.
I have a key but cannot connect
Check the remaining days in the account page: without paid time the tunnel does not come up. If there are days, open "Diagnostics" in the app. It shows whether the service has the rights, whether the rules are in place and whether there was a handshake.
The connection does not come up or keeps dropping
Give it a moment: the app tries several connection methods on its own (UDP, over TCP on port 443, through two servers, through a network of anonymous nodes). Which one got through is shown in "Diagnostics". If none did, the same section shows where it stopped. Write to us with that.
How do I make sure traffic does not bypass the tunnel?
Connect, then turn off Wi-Fi or unplug the cable for a couple of seconds and put it back. The internet appears only after the tunnel comes up again. The command netsh wfp show filters prints the rules in place; ours are labelled with the provider "MultiOBX VPN".
What do you see while I am connected?
The device's public key, its address inside the tunnel and the time of the last handshake. We do not see where you go, which home address you came from (it is not stored after disconnecting) or what your computer is called.
How do I pay?
From the account page, with a voucher or a numbered order. A voucher adds days at once, an order after the payment is confirmed. No name or e-mail is needed either way.
